COMPASS (COMmunity and PArents in Support of Schools) was established in Dec 1998 to advise MOE on ways to strengthen and promote home-school-community collaborations. It draws its members from the various stakeholders representing parents, self-help groups, alumni and the business community. In this website, COMPASS will share with you some success stories. Welcome to the COMPASS website! This is the one-stop portal for schools, parents, alumni, SAC/SMCs and other community organizations to learn about exciting and inspiring collaborative practices.
Since its inception, COMPASS has been actively encouraging parents and the community to work together with schools to help children learn better. It has used platforms such as the annual COMPASS Conventions and the PARTNERS Awards to advocate for the greater involvement of the family, alumni, community and enterprise in education. It is presently chaired by the Senior Minister of State for Education, Ms Grace Fu.
