Specially tailored for all Pri 1 & Pri 2 pupils, the Funtastick
Harmony programme focuses on the school's two niche areas ---
NE and character development. These, in turn, are aligned with
the school's vision of 'nurturing creative problem solvers who
are Gracious, Responsible
and Public-spirited, prepared for the challenges
ahead'.
Through fun activities such as story-sharing, singing, team-building,
performing, art and hands-on projects, pupils will experience
the joy of harmony and develop respect for the cultural practices
of other races. These activities will be conducted on a weekly
basis.
The school believes that the programme should equip its Pri
1 and 2 pupils with a firm foundation in NE and cultivate in
them desirable character traits. The programme will also be
integrated into the Civics and Moral Education and Social Studies
curriculum and assembly programmes for other levels from year
2006.
The grant will be used to develop instructional materials, IT
and AV resources, as well as training for staff, pupils and
parents.
