| Five teachers received the
President’s Award for Teachers from President S R Nathan himself
during a Teachers’ Day reception at the Istana on 1 September
2004. The award recognises their passion, courage and perseverance
in inspiring and nurturing the nation’s young. Yet, they would
tell you that receiving the profession’s highest accolade is
not the main highlight of their teaching career. It is the joys
they derive on a daily basis that are most fulfilling. |
