THIS YEAR’S Work Plan Seminar (WPS) will be held on
29 September 2004 at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Convention
Centre. This annual event provides an opportunity for
policymakers, school leaders and practitioners to discuss strategic
directions for the year ahead.
At this year’s WPS, we will take stock of the progress that
our education system has made since the inception of Thinking
Schools, Learning Nation in 1997. In particular, we will review
the journey of Innovation and Enterprise (I&E) which began at
last year’s WPS. We will also touch on the directions for
education in the next 5 to 10 years, and highlight the possible
challenges ahead.
Recommendations by the 2004 MOE Corporate Planning
Team on how to bring education to yet greater heights will
also be shared with participants. The recommendations will
elaborate on further supporting our schools in nurturing the
whole child.
Participants can look forward to an exciting and thought-provoking
